We close out our weeklong tribute to Maurice Binder with a pinup inspired by his titles sequence for “Thunderball.” Come back Monday for a special treat, and keep your eyes peeled for Lydia’s next adventure, coming your way this Christmas!

This is, admittedly, a bit of a cheat. Our tribute today is to “Goldeneye,” with a title sequence designed by Daniel Kleinman. Kleinman took over opening titles duty on the Bond franchise after Binder died in 1991. “Goldeneye” was his first, and, some might say, a well done tribute to Mr. Binder. The real reason for this selection? “Goldeneye” was the first James Bond film Adam was old enough to see in the theater.

Today we pay homage to Binder’s stunning opening from “The Spy Who Loved Me,” arguably the best of the Roger Moore Bond films.

We continue our tribute to Mr. Binder with an homage to his opening titles sequence for “Moonraker,” which is possibly the silliest of the Roger Moore Bond films (and that’s saying something).

If you’re a fan of James Bond, you probably know who Maurice Binder is. All this week, we at The Second Rate Spies are paying tribute to Mr. Binder and his stunning opening credits sequences. Today we start with his most enduring contribution to the Bond film franchise, the famous Gun Barrel sequence.
